#120 Green Heron

#120 Green Heron

The Green Heron is my favorite of the heron family.. Green in color with a rusty neck and dark cap.

The front is streaked.

Stalks small fish, tadpoles and amphibians, can be found near wooded swamp land, streams and ponds.

  1. Wonderful!

Last week we were walking our puppy through the state beach park and we came across a stately blue heron. Lulu stood up on her hind legs and just stared for the longest time at the bird. She didn't bark, just watched as the bird moved slowly through the grass.
